Caro Comes Out

In this experimental documentary I task myself with coming out to thirty relatives. It’s part queer torture experiment, part heartwarming family portrait.

It was funded by the Creative Culture Fellowship Program at the Jacob Burns Foundation. It got into an Oscar qualifying film festival. We won the $10k “Knight Made in Miami” Award at the Miami Film Festival.

Kashif Incubator 

I was accepted to the Kashif Incubator Program, Writing Dope Shorts, in 2023. Over the course of 8 weeks I wrote my first narrative short film, “The Optometrist.” This included multiple script revisions with industry professionals like the producer of Moonlight. The program culminated in a staged reading with professional actors.
